weesam express ferry

It is great having an immigration office on this island because its never busy and I can always get in and out with no waiting. One thing that can not be obtained at the immigration office here as of yet is an ECC (Exit Visa). So that requires me to take a speed ferry to Cebu. When traveling from Bohol to Cebu there are two choices of speed ferries. There is Ocean Jet, or Weesam. I wasn't sure which ferry was better but I was recommended the Weesam Express. I booked 2 seats to leave at 7am. I booked under a promo sale and I paid 1000 pesos round trip for 2 people. It was 500 pesos per person. I also had to pay a boarding pass fee of 25 pesos. The trip itself was relatively comfortable. I should also mention that the weather was overcast the entire day when I went. It might be hotter on a very sunny day. There is a first class seating with air conditioning and I don't think it costs much more to book. There are no drinks or meals served but we got to watch a Bon Jovi concert on the way there and a bootlegged version of the transformer movie on the way back. We left at exactly 7am and arrived at 8:45.

We were able to accomplish everything at immigration have a quick lunch at SM mall and book a hotel in Hong Kong from the Cebu Travel Agent Office. When I arrived at the immigration office in Cebu I noticed they were checking everyone for fevers. The guard would hold a little scanner to your forehead to see if you were sick. I think it has something to do with the swine flu. It actually took longer to come back to Bohol than it did to go to Cebu. Just estimate the trip to be somewhere from an hour and a half to two hours. It was my first time in Cebu and I didn't spend much time site seeing. In fact every trip I took in Cebu was less than 10 minutes. Everything I needed was relatively close to the Ferry. No one tried to overcharge me and it was a good trip. If you do need to go for immigration reasons then make sure you take the early boat out.
